2/20/17--Back to New York

Well as y'all know I am headed back to New York tomorrow!!! I am super excited to be apart of the Lord's work once again! I know God gave me this chance to come home and spend some time with my family and friends. I have been truly blessed to be able to return to my mission and continue serving the Lord. I know that serving a mission is where the Lord needs me.

This week I did a lot of packing and cleaning getting everything read for when I leave. I realized it is a lot easier to pack on a mission then from home going back on a mission. On the mission you just pack everything you own and you are good to go. Where as here I have to figure out what to take what to leave. There is just so much more stuff to choose from and the whole thing is a little frustrating.

I think the biggest adventure of the week was last night with the tornado. In the middle of the night my alarm went off and scared me half to death. Then right after I had climbed in bed my dad came in telling me to take my pillows and a blanket and go downstairs. I was so confused and lost. Once downstairs all the girls smashed in the closet. Many funny comments were made and I got hit a couple times by Paige. After 30 minutes of this adventure the tornado passed so we went back to our own beds. I didn't realized how much I appreciated my own bed without anyone touching me.

Well I hope everyone has a great week! The next time I email I will be back in New York! I count the many blessings the Lord has given me and especially the blessing of healing my tumor and giving me a second chance at a mission.

2/15/17--The Wait is Over

So first off I want to say sorry for not writing Monday. I think part of me said if I waited long enough I would get the news I wanted!! The other side of me said egh it is ok to seat back and relax and enjoy time at home. SO the big news is...... drum roll please..... We found out last night I will be heading back to New York on Tuesday!!!!! Ahhhhhh I am so excited I can hardly see straight. I can't wait to get back and do what the Lord has asked of me to do. I do have to say I have loved every minute of spending time with my family and some time with my friends. I have so much to be grateful for. This week was slow and painful because I only wanted answers. Answers from many angles. One of which was when I would be going back to New York. Lucky me I got my answer!

Not much more happen this week but one day this week was national pizza day and we got a huge pizza that barely fit through the front door. We had such a great time eating it. The only downer I had this week was that I got a cold. The funny part is during the day I am not bad but come night time I am a hot mess. I sneeze and cough to all ends of the day. As well as soon as I wake up I sneeze and cough a whole bunch more! I hate it I never want to cough or blow my nose again. Anyways Friday we hosted the middle school valentine party and I got to help run the event! It was a lot of fun to see a bunch of middle schoolers running around like crazy! Saturday we did some house hunting for my grandma and then helped my brother get ready for a dance. Sunday church was great and then we had family movie night! Which by the way is like my all time favorite night. Overall spent some good quality time quoting movies with my family!

Just think in like two weeks I will writing from New York again! I simply cannot wait! I love y'all and have a great week! Happy late Valentine's Day!

2/6/17--Good News and Hope

This week has been full of adventures! Most of the week was mainly spent with my sisters and mom. I am realizing I have hardly left my mom's side for almost anything. I have truly enjoyed every moment with them. The first adventure mainly started Monday when I talked Mom into getting a pedicure. I was a little surprised she was so excited to get it done. So we had a three generation spa day, Mom, Nana(my grandma), and I got our toes done. The first thing the lady said to me was that my feet were very dry. I tried not to laugh because I seem to get that every time I go in to get a pedicure. Then Wednesday was an small adventure with an outing of the girls to the park and then bowling. I do have to say I am not much better now then I was before or during the mission. Although overall we did have a good laugh at how bad I was. Elle really enjoyed being better at bowling then me! Then the next adventure came with girl's weekend. Or more like girl's night. We went out to eat then went and did a little shopping. I think Mom didn't expect to do shopping for us but we roped her into it:D Then we went home for a girls movie and giving my sister's a pedicure because they hadn't come with us on Monday. Then Saturday was amazing! Mom and I went to the temple. I loved being back in my temple and feeling the Spirit that can only be felt in the temple! I do have to say I love the San Antonio temple so much! Then we spent the afternoon at a guard competition. I got to spend the day with some old friends and helping with something I missed a ton! I loved spending the day out with my mom!

The doctor visit on Friday went well. He gave me the clearing to go back!! So now we wait for the mission department to call and say when I can go back! I will let y'all know as soon as I know. Have a great week! Love y'all!

1/30/17--CT Scan and What?!?!?!

Well this week held a bunch of twist and turns. To start off the week I had my CT scan. Then I spent the beginning of the week just hanging out and helping my mom with things around the house. Come Wednesday my parents headed up to Utah for my dad's work. So for the next couple of days I got to be mom. I loved spending alone time with my siblings and enjoying the day at home. I got to work on my older brother's t-shirt quilt. As well for the first time in 11 months a bunch of time alone. Then on Thursday I got a pone call from my ear doctor saying my scan came back clear. They said they couldn't see anything in my ear. So I won't be needing surgery! I still have to go see the doctor next week. The good news is they don't think I will need surgery. So hopefully if all goes well I will be headed to New York next week! I am so excited! I spent most of the week just working on the quilt and enjoying time with my family! I sure love them but I am so excited to go back to New York. I love y'all! I will send pictures in a minute!
